Greetings from Georgia Tech’s Space Solar Power (SSP) research website! There is fascinating research being done to turn into reality the “sci-fi” idea of harvesting solar energy in space and wirelessly transferring that energy back down to Earth. This website’s content is dedicated to teaching about SSP and informing the public about Georgia Tech’s work in that field, along with other work done in conjunction with the Space Solar Power Institute (SSPI). SSPI has initiated important efforts, such as the creation of the William C. Brown Fellowship in Microwave Power Transmission.
